Forthcoming SOUE Events
The next SOUE event is the 2010 Jenkin Meeting, which is on Saturday 25 September 2010, coinciding again with the University's Alumni Weekend (24-26 September). The Jenkin Lecture will be given by Peter Raynes FRS, the Department's Professor of Optoelectronics, on "Liquid crystal displays - some surprising contributions from the UK". Our morning talks are being given by Vilnis Vesma on the low-carbon future and Rod Smith on volcanic ash and aero engines. We are also planning a small dinner at The Perch, Binsey, on the Friday night (24 September).
